Changing smartphone models (transferring data)
Follow the steps below to transfer Cateye Cycling™ data to a new iPhone.
Important
• Data cannot be transferred to a different smartphone OS, such as when changing from an iPhone to an Android smartphone.
• Before changing to a new phone, import all trip data in the AVVENTURA to the old smartphone (Cateye Cycling™) and create a new backup, or copy the FIT files to a PC.
iPhone
1. Launch Cateye Cycling™ on the previously used iPhone and connect the AVVENTURA.
2. From (Other) at the top left of the screen, tap [Device] > [AVVENTURA] > [Delete] > [Delete].
Important
Be sure to perform this operation while connected to the previously used iPhone.
The AVVENTURA will be unpaired.
* There is no need to unpair the sensors.
3. Use Apple’s backup service to transfer data from the previously used iPhone to the new iPhone.
4. Launch Cateye Cycling™ on the new iPhone.
5. Pair the AVVENTURA to the smartphone.
Pairing an AVVENTURA to a smartphone
Follow the described steps to pair the AVVENTURA.
Transfer of the Cateye Cycling™ app is now complete.
Cateye Cycling™ and the AVVENTURA can be used as usual with the new iPhone.
